So you think you don't need a
Legal Nurse Consultant...
Many Attorneys feel they do not need a Legal Nurse Consultant because they do not do Medical Malpractice. I would like to provide you with some examples of other types of cases I can help you with.
Personal Injury: Lets use a car accident as an example. You know about the time lost from work, immediate medical bills, and auto repair. But what about the effects of trauma 20-30 years later when arthritis, caused by the trauma, kicks in and your client needs a hip replacement at the age of 40, with yearly check ups at the orthopedist.
Toxic Tort: This time we will use a chemical spill. Again we know about the immediate damages. But what about the long term effects to your clients DNA and therefore their children, or the cancer they develop because the toxins were not properly cleaned up.
Criminal: Lets say your client is being charged with assault. Your client says it was self defense. Witnesses are fifty-fifty on the issue. What do the injuries tell us? Lets consider a DUI, does the client have a medical condition that could alter the result of a blood alcohol content result, or mimic intoxication.
Defense: The defense of the same cases work the same way. What did pre-existing conditions cause? How will family history effect long term outcome? My job is to help you consider how your opponent may be thinking.
